MSI K8T vs. Asus K8V

Greetings all.

I'm building myself a new Athlon 64 3200+ system and I'm undecided on the motherboard between the MSI K8T-Neo and the Asus K8V Deluxe. Both have received decent reviews and the prices and performance of each board are nearly identical, but the Asus board seems to be a bit more popular. As I see it, the main advantages of the Asus board are the included Wi-Fi (I already have a wireless setup so I don't really care about that), the BIOS recovery features, and the fact that "Cool n Quiet" apparently works on this board whereas it doesn't on the MSI board. I'm not an overclocker and both boards appear to be very stable at the default speeds.

The MSI board comes with round cables, which I like, and I'm planning to get a MSI FX 5900 video card (I have my reasons for this) so I thought it might be good to have the video and board from the same manufacturer. I'm not sure if that really matters though.

Any insights anyone can offer on recent BIOS releases, stability issues, or other experiences with either of these boards that may help me decide between them would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I would get the Asus K8V mainly because of the "Quiet N' Cool" technology. Round IDE Cables are very easy to come by so this is not a major problem in my opinion. And it doesn't make a difference if your video card and motherboard are from different manufacturers.

If you want some more information on the Asus K8V send a PM over to NFS4 who I am sure will be more then happy to gloat about his new system to you even more. :)
