Has anyone had any problems with the onboard LAN (WITESSE VSC8201RX/Realtek 8201 CL)? I have tried everything, and it continues to tell me that there is a cable disconnected. Putting in a pci NIC, I have no problems connecting to the internet. Any suggestions?

Followup: Checking the realtek site, they say that this LAN does not need any drivers. Here is their exact words: "The Ethernet hardware consists of two parts: a PHY chip, and a MAC chip. It's the MAC chip that requires the drivers. RTL8201x is a PHY only chip which does NOT need any driver at all. If you have RTL8201x in your computer system, there must be another MAC chip in the system too. Most likely, the MAC chip is embedded in the chipset. Please contact the board or computer provider to find out which MAC chip is in your system and how to get the drivers for it."

So what is the MAC chip in this board, and what drivers does it take?

I'm having a similar problem with the K8NGM2-L board. Windows recognizes the ethernet controller but no matter what driver I throw at the wizard, it won't take one. The L board has the Realtek 8201CL 10/100 LAN and as stated above, I've also seen the Realtek website say a driver is not needed for the PHY, only the MAC chip. I've tried installing every single LAN driver that came on the supplied motherboard CD to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem and know which driver to install?

I've tried the nVidia chipset ethernet drivers, versions 8.22 and also 8.25 but I'm confident those are only for the 6150 board (FID version) which has Gb ethernet.
