MSI K8NGM2-FID i am looking at page 3-25 and it appears to me that ddr voltage can be adjusted. Is that correct? I assume that the default voltage on this board is set to 2.6 volts. Hope that is correct also.

I got an Email from a memory vendor that i had written that said that unless i can adjust the ddr voltage to 2.7 volts, their memory chips would be unstable. Well ok then only buy chips such as corsair or kingston that are listed at 2.6 volts. since I am not a overclocker that would make sense to me.

However, it seems to me that every time i turn around memory is not compatible with one board or the other due to ddr voltage supplied. If this motherborad would allow a little voltage adjust to ensure the proper functioning of memroy, that would be a big plus in my opinion. I am at the point that home builders need to be able to do more than just leave bios setting at default or auto, if one ever expects to be able to use so many motherboards.

Yes, DDR Voltage is adjustable by 0.05V increment from 2.50V up to 2.90V, by 0.1V increment up to 3.10V. 2.55V is default.

ok just put in my order to zipzoomfly, hope it gets here by friday.

i have a match pair of corsair vs 512 times two for one gig total. not sure if that is the 2.5 or 3 latency. Hmm i wonder if that is why i could not get my asus a8n-vm csm to work in dual mode before everything fell apart. I had it working straight out of the box but not in dual channel mode. Yet my chips worked in my cousins machne another a8n-vm csm. I just know that asus board is one flaky board. Seems the entire a8n series has heartbreak written all over them. Maybe that is why there are so many forums for the a8n series.

oH well i am a MSI person now. will sit my Asus on self for a while, maybe someday i will try it again.
