so i go to install my 7000cu, and lo and behold MSI has already glued their back plate to the board.
reading through the manual they show you how to install the back plate, bit since its already installed i dont really see the point in this part of the manual.
trouble is, this back plate is of course not compatible with the 7000's mounting arrangement, zalman require you to use their back plate, and then screw the brass nipple things, then put the HSF on and screw it all tight.
has any one else experienced this? whats the best way to remove MSI's back plate. its stuck on pretty good, and i dont wanna bust my board getting it off.
at the moment i have simply screwed the HSF directly to the MSI back plate with 2 long screws. im pretty sure this isnt a good idea, but i need my computer.
