I just got the MSI SLI motherboard, a Venice 3200+, and a pair of OCZ Gold 512MB sticks. When I tried to boot up the system for the first time, it doesn't post.. the D bracket2 indicator shows that it gets stuck during memory detection. Could this problem be because I'm using a Venice instead of the older 939 CPUs, and the BIOS that was shipped with the mobo does not support the Venice cpus ?

YEah, try one stick of ram, then if you are able to install windows, update the bios and see if the other stick works.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try it with one stick of ram but it didn't help.. but I'll try it again tonight and see if I could get it working.

OK I found where the problem was: the SLI card. I took it out just to look at it and I guess when I put it back it didn't make any connections. I took out the SLI card and the computer POSTs interestingly enough. Has anyone tried running this mobo without the SLI card? MSI should've thought of a better design than just sticking the SLI card into the slot horizontally and have it locked by that piece of plastic (what if the plastic breaks??). I also have a hard time turning the plastic sideways to lock it in.
