Any PSU is good enough for a motherboard. What matters is what other stuff you will have plugged in. How many hard drives, whether you use SLI with two cards that require you to plug the PSU into them, etc.
 
Thanks for the response. The only extra item is a 2nd harddrive.
I'm worried about stability. The MSI website recommends 450, which I saw after buying a 400w.
NO overclocking involved.
