I have 4 drives, 1 already has XP Pro installed with all the drivers and such. I put all the drives on the orange slots for the MB, put the flopppy disk containing the raid driver inside the floppy drive, and restarted.

My floppy drive is set to boot first (it is an external USB floppy drive, shown in the BIOS as USB FDD).

The standard raid screen allows me to do raid 1, 0, or 10. In the manual, it shows a different raid screen, which I believe is the one used for raid 0+1, however I get an error saying non system disk, please insert disk and press any key.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? If someone in the US doesn't mind giving me a call and helping me with this, that would be great.

Why are you using the Sil-Image contoller (orange-sata) rather than the Nvidia controller (purple)?
If you're going to raid all four drives then your current XP install is history......
You should be getting the "error saying non system disk", the driver disk isn't bootable.

If it was me, I'd move the drives to the nvidia controller, then "ctrl-s" will get you into the configuration screen when the bios finds the drives. After your array is setup, then continue the boot to your XP disk to partition the array and do the install. As the install starts you'll see a message at the bottom of the screen to hit F6 if you have additional drivers to load. When prompted insert a floppy with the raid drivers (nvidia) on it and follow the prompts. Of course the routine is the same regardless of which contoller you chose to use..... Good luck!

Well, when I put the drives in the orange slots, I had the option to enter the raid setup utility by pressing F4 or Ctrl+S. I did that, and my only options were raid 0, 1, and 10 I believe.

So what I need to do, is put all drives in the purple slots, restart, and then hit Control+S when the screen prompts me to, allowing me to setup the raid config? I already installed XP Pro on one of the drives, I don't mind re-installing the drives though.

Do I need to put the drives in the purple slots, then put the xp disk in, install XP on the drive that already had it (by reformatting first), and then during the install insert the "For Nvidia CK804& CK804-A2 SATA RAID Driver" floppy disk?

I'd feel a lot more comfortable if someone could give me a ring. I have free long distance, so I don't mind spending it on my dime.

I might not be making myself clear, but just to add...

All drives are now in the purple slots. I have XP Pro installed and all of the raid drivers from the MB CD are also installed. I don't mind losing the data I have on the hard drive, I only installed it to make sure all my hardware worked before trying to setup raid.
