MSI K8N Neo4 Memory Issue Help appreciated.

Hey all setup my rig and been fooling with OCing

One strange thing, the book says to use green slots first, so I tried and it
sets my mem to 167MHz and Sandra shows 1x1 =64bit memory at 2,4GB/s

When I switch to one green/one purple, I get 1x2 =128bit and 5GB/s

I assume this second setup is dual channel then????

Plus it wont let me use 1T rates or tight timings with two greens but will with Green/Purple

Also in terms of HTT and OCing

I was able to get my memory up to 600MHz with the green/purple setup (3-3-3-8 1T)
I was able to get my CPU to 2.7(9x300) and run stable(memory at 460~)
And fastest HTT I got stable was 303 without adding any voltage or changing the 16x16 settings.

interesting, I'll have to try that. I also followed the manual instructions of using the green slots first and it won't let me run 1T no matter what I try.

your supposed to use opppsite colors.
so slot 1, 2 is green then purple
put one chip in green then the next in purple so they are right next to eachother

Yeah thats what I figured out, manual isnt very good if you havent used MSI dual channel before

Also, heres a question some of you heavy ocers can help me with

If I am set at 220HTT 1:1 Memory 10x multi vs. 300HTT lower mem divider(think it was 150) and 9xmulti, so my CPU is 2.2 --2.7 but my 3dmark results are all within 4% why should I use the Higher frequency/HTT ???????

we have the same board ... do dividers work correctly ? I have my 3000+ at 9x270 with my mem 1:1 but if i set dividers system won't boot....

could you try setting a divider (e.g. 133, 166) and tell me if all is ok ?
