msi k8n neo4 f socket 939 & opty 185

Currently using an msi k8n neo4 f (not platinum) w/ 1.D0 bios and Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego proc.

Would like to upgrade to Opteron 185. Cpu is not listed on MSI cpu supported page but the Opty 180 and Fx60 are.

MSI says Opty 185 won't work on this board. I think it will and am trying to find out if any brave soul has tried the proc in neo4 f or even the neo4 f platinum board.

If it supports the 180, I don't see why it wouldn't support the 185.

I've seen that for quite some time but I've never been brave (nor rich) enough to test it out.

Your only option is to jump on the X2 4200+ Manchester 2.2GHz before they run out - gone up 25% in price the last month.

if it supports the FX60 then it will handle a 185. I say go ahead.
