Okay, i just put together a brand new system to run Doom3, HL2 (when its out), and other high end games :)

Everything is working just fine EXCEPT:

-- One of my Samsung 160GB SATA drives isn't recognized by the NVRaid Setup Utility. It's hooked up to power, and SATA2 Port on the board. I went into BIOS to activate the RAID controller for both of those ports, but still nothing. Anyone with any help is greatly appreciated.

-- My Sound isn't working properly. Im using two desktop speakers I had from an old HP Desktop my brother bought, which worked fine on his computer, but now, the volume is EXTREMELY low... even with the volume slider on full, I can barely hear the blood splatt on the walls in DOOM3 ;)

Try your drives on SATA #3 & 4 and report back.
As far as sound goes, why would you sell yourself short on sound with a high end system to begin with?
Get yourself an Audigy2ZS and save your ears from the crappy Realtek onboard sound (dis)solution.
If that's not an option then have you checked your audio settings in the game itself?Have you checked the settings in control panel(desktop stereo speakers vs headphones vs monitor speakers etc)? Are your speakers plugged into the appropriate ports?

Ill try the RAID thing soon as I get back from school...

as for the sound, i was trying to save money, cuz my tuition is killing my pocket... :(
its not that bad actually, im not an audiophile so i really can't tell the difference between onboard sound and an audigy2ZS or some other high-end sound card... maybe ill try using a sound card i have from an old system...

anyway, thanks for the help...

On this board when you're installing SATA\RAID drivers (F6) during a WinXP installation. You'll need to install BOTH the "storage" and "RAID" components off the floppy or the ports will not work right.
I don't believe there is any way to recover if you haven't done this, except a fresh reinstall of XP......
