Okay here is the deal I called Monarch Computers and Sales Rep Joe gave me the low down. They have been in direct contact with MSI every day and they have a confirmation of shipment for the first order of 200 of these motherboards which should arrive this friday the 13th or monday on the 16th and an additional 30 on friday the 20th. Their ETA date is conservative just to be careful because they dont want customers mad at them for not having it when they say but rather would have customers happy and getting it before the eta. Joe was nice enough to fill me in so if you purchase use his sales number 000229 where it says Ref/PO Number: when filling out the purchase forms etc. Note: There are only about 20 more available for preorder of the 200 comming on monday so hurry and order if you want it. Still 30 left slated for friday so if you miss that bunch get in on those. Good luck here is the link:

https://www.monarchcomputer.com/Mer...PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=110228

The phone number is: 1-800-611-0875 if you want to confirm your order with them on the phone and get in on them comming monday!

They will be the first to have them most likely so now is a small window of oportunity to get them.
Yeah, I know I sound like a sales man but I am not but I am glad as hell I got my order in.

Radio if you read what I said or call them you will find out that it is to ward of angry buyers in case of a problem so that rather than shipping late the ship early. Just call them and hope your in on the first 200 that arrive.

Just order quick then and call tommorrow and find out if you got in on the first 200 if not another 5 days isnt too bad to get in on the next 30 or cancel if you find someplace else before then.

maybe....so they would get here like the...15th?

I dont want to charge my card and then get scrwed over..

I had called Moncarch Computers earlier today and asked the same thing. This guy said that they had had some problems with the ones they had gotten before and tha the wouldnt recommend getting one. And then said that the 27th was the estimated time of arrival...

What you mean by "problems"? You mean the old socket 754 K8N Neo Platinum or the Neo2? I find it odd that they said they had problems if they haven't even gotten the first batch of them in yet.

Thanks a bunch for the update Luthien! I'm new here on the forum and just buiit my first AMD machine (FX-53 939) a couple of weeks ago and had to send in my A8V Deluxe to Adamant Computer (sorry Newegg!) to have the board checked-out. The board was running great until last Friday afternoon when the (Marvell) Gigabit Lan seemed to crap out. I think it may just be the RJ45 connector, but I'm not sure.

I tried disabling and re-enabling the onboard lan through the Device Manager and re-installing the Marvell lan driver to no avail. I had been running the updated Marvell lan driver off of Microsoft's Windows Update page (WHQL certified) when the problem started last Friday. I also pulled the mobo out of the case and tested the lan connection - no go. No activity at all.

I know its not gonna happen, but it would be really coolif Adamant warranteed my board with the A8V Deluxe Revision 2. The Revision 2 has a stable PCI/AGP Lock (my Revision 1A2 doesn't) and is also supposed to have some other refinements (according to a review here on Anandtech). See the review here:

Anyway, I ordered a K8N Neo2 from Monarch this afternoon. The Halo benchmarks of the K8N Neo2 and Gigabyte K8NSNXP (both nForce3 250 Ultra-equipped) seem to have about an 18 fp/s advantage over the K8T800 PRO-equipped boards. Yeah, I know - lame reason to get another board. But hey - Halo is the only game I play now so WTF? I'll have to run both and see which I keep. I don't care about onboard RAID cause' I'm an Ultra-320 SCSI guy.

I hope the ETA is accurate or even pessimistic. I hate the fact that I just droped bank for a new FX-53 system and now its' down! I've been using Asus boards for years now and this is the first problem ever. Sh&%t happens. This will be my first MSI (and nVidia chipset) board. Long post and rant over now. :brokenheart:

Yeah, I hear you Aries, I have been using Asus on 2 or more systems for about 8 years now and this is also my first change over to a new "Brand/Manufacturer" mobo in that time frame. I have had a lot of Asus motherboards go bad in that time frame (like a dozen). I figure it is the same for most motherboards. Most of those are A7V133 motherboards that crapped out.

As far as them having them when they say I believed the sales rep on the phone he sounded honest and excited about the news they had the invoice of shipment so they know they are on the way to them now. I expect them to ship on monday or tuesday at the latest. Joe I believe said that he was in charge of the correspondance with MSI and basically the Monarch Computers is very happy with the business they are doing lately. He said it is practically like Christmas everyday as far as sales are concerned they are selling computer hardware fast and furious.

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago. Back then it said ETA August 9. Does this still apply, or does the 9th batch become the 13th batch?

Well, apparently they were not availabe from the manufacturer for sale until the 9th so now that they have had time to ship etc. you can be sure that you are in the first 200 to arrive bunch. Most of us in that group should have the mobo by next friday I expect.

Thanks for spreadin the love, Luthien. Ordered mine on the 2nd. I must say I wavered a long time over going MSI or Asus. Looking forward to comparing notes.

Luthien - Wow! A dozen boards in eight years! That sucks! Every manufacturer has "bad batches" or poor designs at some point but that seems unacceptably high. Were those boards all new retail units or were they refurbs? I know I would have switched over from Asus long before I ever got to 12 boards.

I've used Micronics and American Megatrends in the past as well as Asus, and have been lucky enough to have never had a problem with any of them in the past. Don't know how much bearing it has had but I always use high-end components (PC Power & Cooling PSs', ect) peotected by APC Smart UPSs'. I believe that consistent clean power is highly underated by the vast majority of enthusiasts. I find it amusing that lots of people will splurgefor a CPU or memory but use an inferior power supply.

Once I get my new board and my HIS Excalibur X800 XT video card I won't have any excuses except for the cheating hackers in Halo. If you've played Halo against a cheater, you know what I mean. I played against a guy who was totally INVULNERABLE. Me and a teamate PASTED the guy with plasma grenades and he just stood there as they continually exploded on him and he just stood there turning around and looking at us!

glugplug - Hopefully for you (but bad for Luthien and I) I have the sinking feeling that the "9th" batch is probably the "13th" batch now. At any rate, I hope I get one of the boards in the earliest-arriving batch.

I'm glad I bought my 3500 early last week. It's been a pain waiting for the motherboard, I would have gone crazy if I finaly got the Mobo and couldn't find the chip.....

The 27th is what I'm looking at for new orders placed... as of right now. I will have a full update later on today. Between this board and the Athlon64 3500+ processors its been a logistical nightmare. We're working as hard as we can to get these items in, and I will update as soon as I hear some more news!

Um.... if we ordered both the mobo AND a 3500+ in the same order, is the CPU set aside "reserved" while waiting for the mobo to arrive?

WOOT, my Lian Li V2000 arrived today from newegg in MINT condition Fedex didnt damage anything but the box. It is sooooo pretty! :). I got in on the first batch of the MSN NEO 2 Platinum but will have to wait an extra week or more for the cpu so I get to stare at my new chasis in all it's glory till then. SWEET! Hey, Joe didnt I tell you I would post and now you got yourself even more of a logistical nightmare. I held off posting at Tomshardware because I figured you didnt have enough anyhow and many of the members of Toms are real bitches.
