Jetrug,
The K8N Neo2 Platinum supports up to 2.85 volts. The DEFAULT VOLTAGE is 2.5 volts, but you can manually set the DDR voltage up to a maximum of 2.85V. This is what the BIOS shipped with my board came with. I received my K8N Neo2 Platinum yesterday and updated the BIOS using MSI's Live update feature but the voltage settings are the same in the new BIOS (Version 1.10). BIOS that shipped on the boards was Version 1.0.
I am running 2GB of Mushkin PC3500 Level II (512MB x 4) in dual-channel at 400MHz (200MHz x 2) at 2-2-2-5-10+ [Command] on Auto. If I run 2 sticks (1GB in dual-channel it runs at 2-2-2-5-10 [1T]). But when you install memory in both channels the command rate switches to 2T.
Just thought that you should know about the memory voltage so you don't get too worried about it. I don't know why MSI decided to limit the voltage to 2.85, that is kind of a bummer for a board from a company known for boards with good overclocking potential.
BTW, I'm also running an FX-53. I don't plan to overclock my chip, but it smokes my P4 3.4GHz quite badly in Halo anyway. Cheers.
