Hi i am considering getting this mobo memory combo for a 3200+ 939 cpu I was wondering if it will work ok my main concern is that ppl are having trouble with memory and getting it to work in dual channel or to run at 400Mhz my plan is to raise the HTT to 250Mhz and leave the ratio at 1:1 so it reaches ddr 500Mhz and the CPU clocks at 2500Mhz im an overclocking newb so I will need to learn more about voltage timing and ratios but what I really need to know is will i be wanting to buy new ram soon after i make this purchase or will it work

Stock speeds = 3200XL

Overclocking = 4000

At stock speeds the 3200XL with tighter latency timings will perform better,but when you move to overclock the extra bandwidth comes into play.To match speeds the XL would have to be timed loosely.At some point during overclocking you'll get higher results with the 4000 because it's tested at higher speeds to begin with an should offer greater overhead for overclocking,of course also at a cost of looser timings.
Wich I'm sure is leading you to hte next question:Wich is more desirable,tight timings or higher bandwidth?
Answer:Bandwidth

PSon't forget to bump up your memory voltage when you overclock and loosen the timing at some point.Overclock gradually in small steps.Make sure you have adequate cooling.
