I just purchased Geil Ultra DDR550 PC4400 memory from Newegg and was wondering if this motherboard would be a good fit when the new AMD Venice cores that are coming out.

Here is my planned setup:

AMD Athlon 3200+ Venice core
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum*
Geil Ultra DDR550 PC4400 2 x 512MB

*The reason I'm sticking with this type of board is because I still have a GeForce 6800 GT AGP card. No sense in me selling the card and then spending some more money just to get the PCI Express version.

I'm really excited about the overclockability of the Venice cores. I couldn't believe that one site took the stock 2.0GHz of the 3200+ and raised it to 2.8GHz easy on stock cooling! Also, as for my Geil RAM, I bought those because I couldn't find any cheaper "value" type of memory that was rated at DDR550 speeds. What do you guys think?

I still love mine. The only other board I'd get over it is the new DFI NF4 board.

The only problem with my Neo2 is that the PS/2 keyboard port, after a power disconnect, needs to be re-plugged while the system is on for it to work.
Also. the Athlon 64's do not really need high speed RAM for overclocking, since there is no performance penalty for choosing a higher RAM divider.

EDIT: forgot to mention, leave the core voltage at 1.500v in the BIOS when using a 90nm processor. That actually sets a 1.40v vcore. If you get it to 1.400v, that ends up as 1.36v.
