MSI K8N Neo2 Plat upgrade

My computer shut down during the day yesterday, and now won't boot. Hit the button - nothing happens. I know the PSU is good (tested it on another system), so I think it is the motherboard, an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. I have had an MSI K8N Neo Platinum fail me very recently also, so I think it might be something to do with the whole series of motherboards....so it would be nice if I could get away from MSI. So, my question is - since using the RAID controller for RAID 1, will getting a different motherboard need a reconfigure of my RAID? And will it be a hassle to work with the new drivers and everything in Windows? Do I have to stick with the same chipset?

Or, I could stay with MSI and get the exact same motherboard again, if you think that having 2 go bad is just a fluke. Any help appreciated!
