Just wanted to post because I have seen a lot of slagging of this board. I just made a system around it and this MB is flawless everything works, has the absolute best feature set out of any of S939 boards and runs great.

remember, just about every other MB manufacturer was affected by the bad capacitor mix...

Heh, the MSI board for the S754 totally sucks. This must be a different one

it's just luck of the draw.
many people recommend EpoX.
i had nothing but problems with them and would never buy one again.
MSI is a brand I am neutral on... I have had great luck with 1 MSI board I had personally, but so many people complain of problems I am not quite sure about them.

I have an MSI MegaPC 651 as my main box, but after hearing and seeing everything about MSI, I certainly wouldn't buy an MSI mobo again.

Bad capacitor mix? Is this problem over, heh? I am going to be ordering a A64 mobo/cpu combo from Monarch in a couple weeks, and was planning on getting a MSI K8N Neo2 Plat, so i'll have to keep my fingers crossed that they have new stock in, heh. They test their combo's though, so hopefully they'd catch any problems.

By the way, are you from the Buffalo area zodder? I am as well, Cheektowaga area, heh. Go Bills (even though they are dreadful this year)!

I had leaking caps on my ex-Epox board, however my ex-MSI board never had that problem, for the record both boards were rock solid.

Just remember no brand is perfect(except the ones I build ;) ) .

I had an ECS KS75A mobo and had nothing but troubles with that. One of the biges issues was the heatsink on the chipset had some cheapo tape that didnt realy work that well. then I had the IDE controller acting up every so often and just recently the CAPS finaly went bad. Needles to say I would never buy anything from ECS now. I hear that MSI and ECS are similar in quality and have heard horror stories about MSI so I add MSI to the stay away list as well.

Took mine back. Can't use PCI slot 2 because of the capsitors sticking up. Works lousy with OCZ 3700 EB. Oc's awful. The board is just not ready yet. Changed to an Asus just so I could be stable.
