MSI k8n Neo2 - Can't change HT

I have a MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. motherboard with bios 1.3. I am trying to overclock it with a 3000+ 939pin processor but am having troubles. Stock, my HT setting is at 5x, but need to turn it down to 4. Everytime I press enter to change the setting, my computer freezes once the window pops up ( no settings appear, just the box ). Here are my computer specs, if they are needed.

MSI Neo2 Plat.
3000 64bit 939 pin
512mb Corsair Value Ram
Antec 400w True Power
36gb Raptor
9700 Pro

Is that the latest bios? You might want to try loading safe defaults and then changing JUST THE ht multiplier.

yes thats the latest official bios. Sounds wierd it would do that

Yeah, I reset the bios and tried it again with no luck. I might try reflashing the bios with 1.2 or 1.3 again. The strange thing is, is that the HT part worked at the beginning (2-3 days ago, I just opened it to see what settings I could choose out of curiousity), but when I finally try to overclock, it doesn't work.
