MSI K8N Neo - USB problems

OK, hopefully this is the last question. I have my K8N NEO working now (thanks to the BIOS recovery and figuring out that the system wanted a PCI video card to accomplish that). Now my only problem at the moment is the internal USB port connections on the motherboard.

The USB ports on the back of the board work fine, no issues. When I connect the USB ports on the front of the case (Antec Sonata) to the motherboard they don't seem to work. I can plug in a USB drive and the light comes on for a second and then goes out, so it is getting power. I thought it might be the case ports, so I connected the USB bracket that came with the motherboard and I get the same problem

Is there somewhere I need to activate the ports on the motherboard? Is there a BIOS setting that enables/disables these ports?

Can't find about it in the manual...? We don't all know that booklet by heart you know... 😉 Maybe one pin that's broken... Could be causing it as well... All pins correctly connected?
