Hey guys , I recently got my Sempron 64 and wanted to start overclocking it . It started quite well with some easy settings but I cannot get past 233 HTT . The thing that freaks me out , I require to set the HT multiplier to 1 and set the memory to /133 Mhz .

What is puzzzling the pc boots up at 228 , HT 232 , Memory 232 and HT Multiplier of 5 and some seriously aggressive RAM timings? ? ?

Does anyone else have one of these boards , I am really freaked out by these results

Thanks

It seems you are using unblocked SATA ports, try the ones near the CPU (Guessing you are using Neo 2)...

Not using SATA ATM , there is definetly a problem with the OC Settings on these mobo's . I used my K8N4 and I'm able to get 270 HTT

The info around the net is that MSI limited overclocking with Semprons on this board after the 1.0 bios. So if you want to overclock beyond 220FSB, you have to go back to the 1.0 bios, or use a program called ClockGen.

I have the Neo3-F, with a Sempron 64 2500+ and the 1.2 bios. Same problem getting the FSB above 225MHz with that bios. However, I discovered a program called ClockGen (freeware - http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php)

I ran the NF4 version (CG-NVNF4), and quickly got the system up to 286FSB (memory set at 133, running at 182MHz). This gives me 2000MHz, or about equal to a 3400+. CPU temp seems to be the same at this speed (34C)

ClockGen allows you to run it at startup in batch file mode, so I boot at 225MHz, and then run Clockgen when Windows starts.

My settings:
Advanced Chipset--DRAM
Timing Manual
Memclock 133
Tcl 3
Tras 8T
Trcd 3T
Trp 3T
Trrd 3T

Cell
HT Freq 3
PCIE Clock 100Mhz

My board doesn't seem happy with a HT Freq X FSB greater than 800.
