Are mobos compatibles only with some hard drives?

Also, the Samsung 512 MB PC3200 is not on the compatibility list of the Neo 2 Plat. but on a forum I saw that the memory worked well. Who do I trust now?!

And does this mobo includes some SATA cables or any cables that can connect (sorry.. not a professional) a Maxtor 160 GB OEM?

Thanks!

1. yes and no, if your mobo has an sata port it should be compatible w/ all sata hard drives. if your mobo has an ide port it is not relle compatible w/ sata unless you have an adapter most sata boards have both ide and sata

2. i don't see samsung on the supported memory list either you can take your chances the only way you can really know for sure is by testing or asking other people who have already tested that memory with that mobo

3. yes if you buy the motherboard retail it should come w/ sata cables and IDE cables so you can connect your maxtor hard drive

1 - Yes, the mobo support SATA. It's done deal.

2 - There's a doubt. What will happen if the memory doesn't work? (I mean in the computer)

3- Yeah, I verified it and the Neo 2 Plat. come with 2 SATA cables and my PSU come with 1 SATA connector. Does that means that I can connect only 1 SATA Hard Drive (if there's only 1 connector)?

2. you need to get new memory if it doesnt work (ya, it sucks)

3. you connect one sata drive per SATA port and im pretty sure there are 4 sata ports on that motherboard

Finally, about the screws (for the HDD support on the case).. is it standard screws, or do I need specials one (if there's not enough for the HDD)? Can I buy them at a shop?
