no freaking clue here i am an experienced compuer technician and still can't figure this one out...
specs are as follows, msi neo 2 plat bios rev 1.4, winchester 3000+ processor, 1 gig (2x512) kingston hyperX pc 3500 ram, x800xt pe , 74 gig raptor, antec tru 550 psu. somehow amazingly i was able to install windows just fine, that was when i was using a turbolink 420W max switching power supply. anyways, after install on the second reboot it started freezing up on the msi startup screen and in windows loading also.... now it can't even boot into windows once. i thought it could be the power supply so i went and bought the antec 550 and the voltages on the main rails all lowered!!! wtf!?@ its sad, 12 V is something like 11.3, 3.3 somewhere around 2.88, 5V 4.8 ....... i have switched out cpu's no change, i have swapped out memory modules, (dual and single channel variants) no change, i have changed to a non sata hdd (no change), you get the picture here, just a bunch of no change. i have now swapped everything but the mobo. i got it from newegg and i can't believe how trash msi is. i should have known from seeing all the ones come back at work.
any insight would be appreciated here if someone could point me to a potential fix other than replacing the motherboard which i obviously do not want to do.
