MSI K8 Neo 2 Platinum lockups and random reboots

This board is so highly recommended and I have nothing but grief... using 3200+ with 2 x512 Corsair Value Select, Leadtek A-400 GT (NVidia 6800GT), 2 x 80GB SATA HDD Seagate in RAID (Stripe), Thermaltake 410 Watt P/S. WINDOWS XP w/ patch for SP2. I ran MEMTEST and found that 1 memory stick reproducably failed. Corsair said to manually adjust BIOS timings but still failed. Now have 1 stick of 512 at DDR 400 2T, 2.5-3-8-3. No lockups but seems to run no faster than my old Athlon 1.2GHz. And the MSI utility Corecell reports I'm running my 3200+ at 200 FSB with a 5X multiplier= 1000mhz!!!??? It should be 200 with a 10X multiplier= 2 GHZ... HELP!!!...I give up... MSI blaims AMD...says the memory controller is bad... Corsair blames MSI, bottom line I have a $1500 box of #$%%#@!...can anybody relate or offer advice...I'm not new at this...

Yeah...You need to flash the bios!!! You have a board with the old version 1.1 bios...You need to use the msi update program and get the 1.4 bios...Also download the corecell update as well...

This board is on eof the best when ppl read the literature that has talked about this stuff for nearly 2 months now....

I forgot to mention.. I flashed earlier to BIOS V. 1.4 ...and have the live update latest version of the NVIDA chipset driver and the latest Corecell version.

Interesting!!! Corecell is crap anyways....Have you tried cpu_z program and see what it says the system is???
It still seems as if the board is possibly not recognizing something right on the 5x200....

Go into bios and make sure the multiplier say startup or manually switch it to 10...no .5's as it sometimes makes corecell read some goofy shite....

Hows your voltages look??? All of them... Read it from bios....MBM...vcore from cpu_z....and maybe speedfan for another check...Give us the +3.3, +5, and +12v as well as the vcore

Humm...seems like the same problem I had....go into your BIOS and set Cool and Quiet off...I dont know why but the only thing it does for me when I set it on...is to cut my mhz by 2...
