i have flashed the board to the 1.4v bios. i had a brand new 30gig 7200rpm IBM drive in the system. my other tech was screwing in the drive while i the drive was running in windows 98se. i told him not to do that but he insisted. everything seemed okay.... then i shutdown the system and turned it back on and the IBM drive started to click. the MSI could not detect the harddrive anymore. i put the harddrive on another MSI board that we have been using as a test system and it spins up fine and boots up windows 98se. I put another harddrive in the system that will not boot the IBM and this one is a Western Digital 30gig 7200rpm. the Western Digital booted fine when replaced by the IBM, after i re-fdisk the WD harddrive.. also, the WD lost its boot partition from when it left the store to the customer's house. so the customer came back and we replaced the Western Digital HD with the IBM--then these problems started to happen with the IBM drive.

what is going on here??? what does one do? any suggestions would be helpful...
