Booted my computer up for the first time with this motherboard, and I got this error:

CPU Fan not running. Shutdown now? Y/N

Funny thing is, my HSF is running perfectly. Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this issue?

All you have to do is make certain your CPU fan is plugged into the CPU Fan Header on your MB. There are probably several connectors, make sure the one it's on is for the CPU, not a Chassis fan. There's probably an option in the BIOS to turn of CPU Fan Monitoring, you might try looking for that also.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't want to chance connecting my 7k RPM HSF directly to the mobo header, and thus it's currently only connected to the PSU.

Additionally, if what you suggested was the problem, shouldn't my mobo detect my PSU fan since it is connected to the correct header? But it doesn't show up in the bios. My PSU fan RPM there is still at 0.

Edit: Also forgot to mention. Looked all over the hardware monitoring in the bios..and couldn't find a way to turn that darn thing off.

Thanks again for any input.

There is no way to turn it off as of yet. Just got mine yesterday. There is no way for the mobo to recognize any fans that are plugged directly in to the PSU because, well, they're plugged in to the PSU and not the mobo. The solution for was plugging a spare 40mm fan I had in to the CPU fan header. Problem solved. Lets hope the next bios revision adds an option to turn this "feature" off, cuz it's a bunch of cr@p!!!
