MSI K7T266 Pro memory performance

I just pieced together my new MSI board and PC2100 Crucial memory and the Sandra memory benchmarks are horrible and I can't figure out why. CPU performance, and everything else seems consistent with the reviews posted here but the memory is way off.

The performance on my board is 450 mb/s where the comparable AMD 760 and ALi chipsets would score 525 - 540 according to Sandra. Every review had memory performance slower, but not like this, usually just behind the others.

I found a setting in the BIOS that supposedly changes memory speed, so you could run a 100 mzh FSB for the CPU and 133 on the memory or visa versa. The default is 100 (ie 200) so I did correct that and now the BIOS correctly posts at 266 but it didn't change memory performance in Sandra at all. (I found that to be strange)

Anyone have experience with this board yet?

( my 2 cents worth assuming that I can figure out this memory glitch, this is one of the most feature rich and stable boards I've used. The software on the fly overclocking lets me push my 1.33 Tbird up to 1480 with no voltage mod and rock stable)
