For this mobo, there are 2 power supply connections:

ATX 20-pin power supply (20 pins)
ATX 12V Power Connector (only 4 pins)

I'm installing Duron 650 on this mobo. My PSU only has the 20-pin connection. Is it a MUST to connect both the 20-pin and 4-pin in order to start up a PC?

I RMA an old MSI K7T Pro and got this K7T Turbo2 for replacement. I installed everything (didn't connect the 4-pin 12V power connector since my PSU doesn't have it) and the computer won't boot with 4 red D-LED (diagnostic LED), which in the manual, it said CPU damage.

Here is the description of the ATX 12V Power Connector: JPW1
Attach the ATX power supply to the connector and it will supply power to the installed CPU

I was wondering maybe i didn't connect the 12V power connector so CPU won't power up???? Help please :)

First off, you can get an Adaptor for the P4 type MB connector that will enable you to connect your PS to the MB in that fashion. Second, I don't think that is your trouble though. There have been threads on this before and the prevailing opinion was that this connection was not necessary. Supposedly it does provide some additonal voltage to the board/processor in case of high demand and might even add some stability under high usage but that has been debatable. I don't think it should stop the board from booting though. Maybe you should carefully go back over the basics; checking your CPU installation, the HSF installation, etc. What do you have connected to the board now? Try going to a minimal setup to start; just the cpu w/HSF, one stick of RAM, video card and a floppy drive with boot disk. Disconnect and/or remove all other components. Then see if it will boot. If not, try the same thing with the board OUT of the case; sitting on the anti-static bag that it shipped with. Also make sure that the fan for the HS is plugged into the proper header on the MB (the one that is designated for the HSFand is labeled "C_Fan1"). Remove and reinstall the RAM to ensure a good solid connection also. You might also want to try and clear the CMOS. You can find the instructions and/or location of the jumper on p. 2-22 of the manual for this.
Try those and get back to us. Good Luck!
BTW, what PS are you using?
