My first ever post to an online forum. I bought an MSI K7T Turbo to be able to use some spare parts from an older machine. I am using an Athlon 950 MHz processor, an 8meg Jaton video card, and 256meg PC133 memory. The problem I am having is that after about 3-5 minutes, my monitor goes balnk and into sleep mode. I can not CTL+ALT+DEL to re-boot, nor will the reset button re-boot. I have to shut down and power back on. I am not sure what is causing this to happen. The board uses a VIA KT133A chipset. I have the FSB set at 100MHz and the memory set at 133MHz. I was reading on MSI sight that with the VIA chipset I can not have the FSB set to 133. Indeed, when I tried to set it to 133, it would not post. Any ideas/suggestions?

hi

the athlon 950Mhz runs at 100 x 9.5
when you try and set the FSB at 133mhz you are trying to over clock this chip 133Mhz x 9.5 and hence it will not boot.

i would try setting the the memory to run at 100Mhz along with the FSB and see if that helps.

what operating system are you using?
have you tried differnent Via 4 in 1 drivers? (not the newest ones as they aren't for older chipsets like the KT133a)
