Just wanted to know if there was a way to disable the Promise Fast Track Raid controller on this mobo. At some point in time i am going to setup the raid array, but currently I don't have any need for it. Thanks

Should be able to. Most motherboards will allow you to do so in the bios or using a jumper. The RAID controller can also be simply used as additional IDE contoller.

i guess no, as far as the manual goes.
maybe with the latest bios-version there's an option to disble it.

but as ALUU said use it as standard controllers.

You'll need the Power user's BIOS(beta) to turn that thing off. Im not sure if the most recent official BIOS also does this, it could be though.

Here.

Scroll down and there is the Ver 1.0Beta16 BIOS. Download the latest Ver 2.8 as well because that could also have the option.
