Hey ppl
i just recently bought the above listed motherboard off ebay. when i put in my 850 athlon chip from my old m807 motherboard to the new one, the temperature readings shot up to 180 when idle and the highest over 200...theres obviously something wrong here and my computer isn't over clocked. the jumper setting is set to 100 mhz fsb, if i take out the jumper (setting it to 133 fsb) the computer won't start up. I tried changing bios settings from default settings to different clock ratios and so on, but nothing seems to work. the heat sink is attached on right, and when the chip is run on my old motherboard, it runs at less than 100 degrees, same cpu, same heatsink/fan. i have no idea what could be the problem, if NE1 has NE suggestions, please post em, don't email. thanks

I seem to remember reading somewhere that these boards sent too much juice to the cpu on the default setting and it helped to lower the volts a little to help them run cooler
