MSI K7T-Turbo -=Is there a problem?=- is there a fix?

Okay, I've been reading about the MSI K7t problem with setting the multiplier and having it "stick" when using a thunderbird. Some people say that the beta OC bios maay fix this, some say there is no fix. What's the verdict? Has anyone been successful at overclocking Athlon Thunderbirds using the MSI K7T Turbo and with which bios?

I bought the motherboard before learning about all these problems - so unless there's a solution, I might have to return it. My Thunderbird 1.3 200 FSB is coming tuesday. I was hoping to have the MSI change the default 13x100 to 133x10 and then play around with the multiplier from there.. But if there's a multiplier changing problem, then I'd rather change motherboard.

Thanks for your help

i have this board.

there is no fix from the manufacturer.

you can do what most of us are doing. u set the multiplier in the bios and turn the machine off just before it boots to make the multiplier setting stick then turn it back on again.

i'm using the overclockers beta bios. u can find it at via's site.

good luck.
