MSI K7T Turbo and IDE devices

I just bought a MSI K7T Turbo and when I installed it, i could only get one IDE device to be recognized at a time. Only one IDE cable came with it and the manual made it seem like it was the only cable that would work with its UDMA 33/66/100 compatible connector on the motherboard. Anybody ever hear of something like this? I also get a line during boot that says 'Primary IDE channel no 80 connector installed' but windows still loads fine...

Any clue? If you need more info i can try to answer any questions.
Thanks.

Is the cable an 80 conductor cable? Is the blue connector plugged in the motherboard? You can always go purchase more cables, an IDE cable is an IDE cable. The only difference is length and 40 or 80 conductors.

How do i know if it is an 80 cable? Actually when i plugged in the blue to the blue on the motherboard it wouldnt go into windows. The way i have it now is Black to motherboard and blue to HDD. If buying another cable is the problem then i'd be glad to do that, but i dont understand why it wont work the way it should (matching the colors.)

just got off the phone with MSI. Tech support guy said secondary ide connector on motherboard is defective, so i am gonna send it in for an exchange. thanks for your help.
