MSI K7T Pro2A's ATA100 vs A7V's integrated Promise ATA100

Performance wise, how do they match up? I remember seeing some Promise drivers that allowed for better use of a 2MB cache and reportedly improved performance greatly.

They perform identically, Tom's Hardware did a review of the 686B southbridge which is used on the K7T Pro2A, and it perform just as well as i815E's ICH2 and the Promise Ultra ATA100.
