MSI K7T Pro2a

Win2k is not seeing my floppy drive after installation, I don't get it since I used it fine to install Win2k. I checked the floppy ide controller pins on my MSI Pro2a and I noticed it has three missing pins, is this right? I have some older motherboards 486 and P1 and all their floppy controller only have one missing pins and not three. I just bought this board a few weeks ago and just set it up today.

I had a similar problem happen to me, except I couldn't use it to begin with, had to RMA it. But I really doubt that's your problem... I've built a few systems off of the Pro2-A, and the pins are *supposed* to be missing, that's the way it was designed. Have you tried giving it a cold shutdown, possibly resetting the CMOS? Of course make sure the FDD controller is enabled in the BIOS (and you probably didn't touch it, but I thought I'd mention it).

Also make sure you have it properly connected (the cable and power) - that's a VERY common mistake, everybody does it. Also try another cable.

Hope that helps a little.
