Does anyone else have this similar problem with their PRO2A---

I've had 2x Pro2A's MB's installed in my machine and it's done it both times for each MB.
When I power up from my UPS, the computer starts for a few seconds, then shuts off and I then have to hit the start switch on my computer for it to completely boot up and then everything runs fine. I then bypassed the UPS and hooked it up to a powerstrip and the same thing happens. Changed Power Supply, same thing--on,instant off, then on after hitting switch. Moved it to another location and the same exact scenario.
Other than this, it's a GREAT MB---Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, mine does the same thing. When I first plug in the power cord, everything powers on for about 2 seconds then cuts off.

Is there any logical reason why MSI[ if it did] design this into the PRO2A MB? Anybody else having the same results?

This isn't a 'bug' its a feature. Look into your manual about soft power off options. If I recall, its all related to what happens should the power go out.

I have the same problem, but I also have an additional problem. When I shutdown or turn off my comp with the button, my hard drive, CD-ROM, and CD-RW LEDs all stay on. Also, the fan on my video card continues to run (V770 Ultra). Any suggestions?

Maninthebox,
Just go into Bios, Power Management and turn off everything as this is causing you the additional problems---good luck!

The Pro isn't the only board that does this. It's a power management thing....turn it off in the bios.
