It was bothering me that this MB wasn't giving me the snap up visuals of my MSI BX board so I started to experiment---I know my ram can go up to 150plus [Mushkins Rev2] and the PCI and video bus can handle higher also---I know my 1000AMD CPU can handle up to 1260MHZ's[105x12]--
So I lowered the multiplier to 8 and started to up the bus by 1 from 105 where I was at, got it up to 112 and it froze---backed it down to 111 and changed the multiplier to 11x= 1221MHZ'S---Voltage is set at 1.775 with Alpha Pep.
The PCI went from 35 to 37, the memory went from 138 to 148, and the Agp bus went from 70 to 74x2agp=148 and stable as hell! The KEY to performance on this board is getting the front side bus a high as it can go and still be stable.
Then I tested SiSoft memory---went from 475 to, get this, 524 and this machine is SCREAMING now---this MB gives us great flexibility, stability, and speed--
Can't ask for anything more!

Hi,

I have a question. I have the following in my system.

K7TPro2A
Kingmax PC150 - 256MB
Duron 650
Enermax 430 Watts PS

I am able to go upto 9.5X at 100Mhz FSB. Fuzzy logic III screen reports the following:
Memory Clock: 100Mhz (Is this the RAM speed)
AGP Clock: 66.8MHz (I am using Rage 128)
PCI Clock: 35.5

Where do I set the SDRAM speed? I know mine can support upto 150Mhz at CAS2. Is there some place in the Bios (Auto, 100, 133)? I guess my question is how do I make you of 150Mhz speed of the RAM?

Does increasing the FSB automatically increase the RAM speed?

skoka, the memory speed of the KT-133 boards can be set at 100mhz, or 133mhz. When set at 100mhz it is the same as the FSB - so at 110mhz, the memory runs at 110mhz.

However, at the 133mhz setting, the memory runs the speed of the FSB + 33% of the FSB - so at 100mhz, the memory runs at 133mhz.
at 110mhz, the memory will run at 146mhz ((110*0.33)+110)

NforSa,

I have set my memory speed to auto in the Bios and the multiplier to 9.5 and FSB to 104. While booting it comes up as 988MHz. I was expecting MSI's utility FuzzyLogic to show the memory speed as 138MHz ((104*.33) + 104). Instead it shows as 133MHz memory clock and the CPU Speed as 995.8MHz.

So what's different here?
