MSI K7T PRO2A MICROSOFT INTELLIMOUSE/USB KEYBOARD

I have adopted the use of the MSI 6330 Pro 2A motherboard for the athlon, almost entirely based on Anandtech's favrourable review.I have purchased about 10 boards all the same revision- i have used bioses from version 1.9 to the current 2.2



I have one problem in partucular that I cant solve nor could i get any reference anywhere on the internet. I am presently trying to use Microsofts USB internet keyboard with the PS2 microsoft intellimouse UNDER WINDOWS 2000. Note what i have tried

All variations in the bios for USB keyboard and USB mouse support - This appears to do Nothing

- alL SYSTEMS WORK FINE WITH A PS2 INTELLIMOUSE AND A PS2 INTERNET KEYBOARD
- SYSTEMS WORK REASONABLY WELL WITH USB VERSIONS OF THE ABOVE - BOTH KEYBOARD AND MOUSE
- CANNOT GET SYSTEM TO WORK WITH PS2 MOUSE AND USB KEYBOARD - MOUSE NEVER WORKS WITH THIS OPTION

ONLY WAY TO DO THIS IS TO BOOT SYSTEM WITHOUT KEYBOARD (PS2 MOUSE ONLY) THEN ADD USB KEYBOARD - WORKS FINE - HOWEVER WHEN SYSTEM IS REBOOTED NO MOUSE IS DETECTED.

THE PS2 MOUSE NEVER WORKS WITH A USB INTERNET (MICROSOFT) KEYBOARD.

OTHER INFORMATION:

VIA ALL IN 1 DRIVER - VERSIONS FROM 4.24 TO 4.28 TRIED
USB FILTER 1.08



SOMETIMES SYSTEM WILL REFUSE TO BOOT AFTER ATTEMPTING TO USE THE USB KEYBOARDS.

Dude,

I don't think this is quite related to yer problemo
but I can tell ya that since I got the k7t pro2a,
my intellimouse optical usb has not been happy at all.

In my epox board it is smooth as glass, very predictable and responsive
but on the MSI board, for some reason, it's very erratic, choppy. If I move it quickly in a circle, the mousetrail looks like it's moving in a square, indicating a lag, possibly on the usb bus because the ps2 port adaptor improves matters but still, it's not as smooth as the same mouse on another board.

What chipset the EPOX board is using - it is a VIA KT family?? I have a smiilar problem with the FIC AZ11. I also cannot connect the USB port of the APC Back ups PRO into any of my athlon boards:

FIC AZ11, MSI K7T pro 2a NOR THE ABIT KT7/KT7RAID

FUnny I hardly am hearing anyone talking about this:

I have 5 USB INTERNET KEYBOARDS AND I THINK I AM STUCK IWTH THEM CUZ I CANT GET THEM TO WORK WITH THE ANY KT133 BOARD.
