I just got one of these boards, got a new duron 650 from compuwiz. I just loaded it with a maxtor 20 gig hd, a nec cddrive, both masters of their own channel. Also a pci trident vid card, the other one is on its way, and 128 megs of infineon ram. Its all in a new antec case w/ 300 watt ps, booted it up the first time, got to the "hit del for settings" screen, got in and it freezes every time I get into the bios, any ideas at all cause I can't even get to setting the time on this thing?
thanks,
Daniel
I put this in general hardware first, forgetting about the mobo specific area, sorry about the cross post.

make sure your heatsink it attached properly. It could be that heat it causes the lock up. have you tried to just let it boot up without going into the bios?

I can retry the heatsink, it just sits at the bios screen if not, I'll try that and come back.

Rats, reset the heatsink and still no luck, won't even get into the bios most of the time, I've cleared it many times too, just sits at the screen asking to hit del to enter it.
