I just installed this board in a brand new case. Put in a 900 Tbird with it. Everything during the install of stuff semed solid. I decided to try and post it with just the ram in AGP card in and the board in thecase and the system wires to the LED's and ATX power switch installed. No drives hooked yet. When I turned it on the internal lights along side the LPT port came on and the CPU fan came on. Within like 2 seconds everything shuts down right after there is a small flicker or two on the second internal light. Is something hooked up wrong? I assume it is nothing major. The only thing that I could have done wrong would be to crush the CPU core. I did take a LOT of pressure to get thefan on there but it never slipped on and jerked or anything. And the HSF seemed to stay perfectly level. I'd appreciate any ideas. I am about to panic on this. If need additional info please feel free to ask. thanks agin for some ideas PS nothing has time to post on the screen. But being that quick to shutdown. I doubt the monitor is even having time to detect a signal and turn on. thsnks again

When I first turn on the power strip mine does the same thing. Turn the power switch on then hit the power switch on the case.

its a "feature" or so MSI calls it. Instant power on function or something that once the power is hooked into the motherboard and the mains is flicked on the system momentarily starts up. The only "fix" is to switch it on at the computer at the same time, and then leave the mains switch flicked on for future use.
