I take it that the Pro2-A has the ATA-100, but is that the only difference between the boards? Are the BIOS updates for these boards interchangable? I jumped the gun and got a regular Pro2, anyway to upgrade it to a Pro2-A without buying a while new mobo?

No you cannot upgrade it,if you want ATA-100 support on your PRO2 board just buy PCI Promise ATA-100 card.

Or if you buying a new harddrive, hop in on that free ATA100 pci card from Maxtor offer. $50 rebate if you buy a harddrive and the controller card. I will actually be making money off that rebate offer if it comes through.

Can anyone recommend where to get the 2-A board cheap? I've been looking since before christmas, and I haven't seen the price move at all. The cheapest on pricewatch is 112 with shipping starting at 11. Please help me out.

Thanks,
Nivek

Edit: Oh yea, forgot to mention that i have a ATA 66 harddrive. So would it still be worth it for me to get the Pro2-a? Right now, I could get the Pro2 for 110 shipped. Just want to see what you guys think i should do...the chip i'll most likely have on this is the AMD Tbird 1 ghz or 1.1 ghz which i will also be ordering soon.
