MSI K7T Pro2-A onboard sound question

If I want to use my Turtle Beach Montego sound card, do I need to disable onboard sound or will it automatically disable this. If I need to disable it, how do I go about doing this? Also, what kind of sound quality will I get from the onboard sound? Thanks!

You can easily disable it in the bios.

The onboard sound, well, doesn't suck. But it's not very good either.
