Good idea or bad idea?

Asus A7V with generic PC133 RAM...
Good idea or bad idea?

Also how stable are these boards?
Any known problems such as suspend issues?

With Generic ram it`s pot luck,I`m using the MSI K7T PRO with Crucial memory & it`s rock solid(as to be since I`m a gamer).

I have a MSI K7T Pro and I bought a stick of 128 MB PC-133 CAS 3 Micron memory. System has been running rock solid. gotbeef, i would suggest that you just pay the little extra ~$15 to get some brand name memory. Headaches from having generic memory just isn't worth the money you will be saving.

DeezNtz is correct it`s worth the extra cost for good quality ram there is nothing worst in buying cheap ram & finding out it does not work on your board, with good brands like Crucial etc ,you know that won`t be a problem. If you have the generic PC133 ram already well you can try it,but be prepared to buy decent ram if you get problems, you may be alright with your generic ram, I have heard of boards being ok,but definetly if you are going to buy new ram ,get good quality & avoid generic ram.
