I think that would be just about it... im trying to use the intergrated sound in the 686b southbridge (I know it isn't good), but it really shouldn't have this kind of problems!!
When trying to play music (mp3, streaming audio etc) and beeing connected to internet the sound freezes after 4-5 minutes.. and makes an annoying real high tone and wont stop, so the system has to be restarted.. I do not have that problem with the asus k7v (im just tring the onboard sound, regulary using the sb live)
I have tried to move the pci card's to different slots, bios upgrades (and degrades) and new drivers etc.. anyone with a solution???? it's damn annoying!
