MSI K7T Pro 2A cdrom dma problem

yah I had this same problem. Tried swapping drives and it didn't help the problem.
So disabling DMA seems to be the only fix right now...thats too bad.

I bought the DVD drive so I could watch movies in my room...what a waste.

Have u loaded up the IDE Master 3.11 Beta (do not install from the 4-in-1, do a standalone) and MSI's BIOS 2.2??

Mine before didn't work even after swapping drives, but when I installed the two updates above and put all my IDE peripherals on Primary, it is now very stable. Still unhappy though cos Secondary IDE is next to useless now when its unstable under DMA mode.

MSI suggested I used ATA66 cable for secondary devices, tried it and its no good (u guys might have better luck here). Now waiting for their reply.....
