I just put together my rig. I attached CPU, RAM, and Video card to the mobo. It starts up for two seconds, then turns off and wont turn back on. I tried switching the RAM to another socket, and tried another stick of WORKING RAM. No luck. When it starts up, it goes through th DLED squence: 0000 -> 1000 -> 0100 -> turns off. Other people at Deja have had the same problem, should I return it too? I really dont want to go through all that trouble, but if I have to, I have too....

Try resetting the CMOS, if you still get no luck then RMA the board.

can the motherboard stay powered-on?

remove vid card, cpu, ram and whatever else and remove the motherboard from the case and set it on an insulator such as cardboard

power-up only the motherboard to see if the motherboard would maintain power

does the power supply function correctly? could something be shorting it out?

what does the DLED sequence indicate? (I don't have an MSI manual handy)
