MSI K7N420 Pro Question

Hi

Does the MSI K7N420 Pro come with an ATX backplate with
the LAN port opening. ? My case doesn't have one. I have
asked several retailers and have been told yes, no,
I don't know, and it did when first released but not now.

Addtronics will ship me a new backplate for $11........ouch !
So..................did yours come with a backplate ?

Thanks alot ... ... take care ... ... ... Rick

No, it does not come with such a backplate. Why not just use some tools and make your own hole? most backplates have a hole for the two USB ports back there, and the LAN is on top of the USB ports, so it should not be hard task to succeed in.

I didnt receive the I/O bracket either...where can I get one?!?.........Do I need one for the Antec 660+ case???

I find it pathetic if MSI is shipping boards without the correct backplates! Even the cheapo boards like the K7S5A come with the right plate. I agree that modding one you already have is easy and cost effective compared to paying 11$ for one

Well...I got mine from Half.com...and the person I was talking to said that he got it from Ubid.com. I believe its a OEM part. I didn't get the I/O panel but I did get round IDE cables for free. ..and for $80 I couldnt go wrong..
