MSI K7N420 at newegg.com

I'm about to buy the MSI K7N420 pro mainboard at newegg.com, since it's only 164 dollars there, among the cheapest on the web. I'm a bit skeptical about the purchase though, because I'm counting on the mainboard coming with integrated 10/100 ethernet, and on the retail box it says "optional." Anyone know if the retail board they are selling at newegg.com ($164) actually has integrated ethernet, because I don't feel like blowing money on an extra network card again. thanks in advance.

Click the "See-It" button and look at the second picture. It has onboard LAN right above the USB ports, so you should be good to go.

I can't really tell. The see it link only has a picture of the actual retail box, which says "integrated network" or something, and then says "optional" next to it. The other link goes to the MSI product page, which does look to have a network interface above the USB. I guess it's not a big deal, I didn't realize network cards were so cheap nowadays, last time I bought one....well I'll put it this way, my current network card uses an ISA slot.

You might want to got to www.msi.com.tw/forum and you can definitely find out there. I am going to buy one too - they also have a NEW manual for download - the original turns out to be next to useless in certain areas (incorrect). I wonder why NewEGG does not appear on PriceWatch.com anymore??

Damn walrus, don't know how I missed that button. Guess it's because I'm at home on my dad's computer and the screen resolution is 800x600 so he can read the "small text." From the pic, it definitely looks like the board has an ethernet jack. Thanks .

Cyberrized, I noticed that newegg wasn't showing up for this board on pricewatch. But I did see them show up for the cpu I bought, as well as a hard drive I may buy. Very odd that they wouldn't be advertising this excellent price for this board. I haven't seen it below 165 anywhere else, and newegg seems to have a great reputation as well.

I Know for a fact it Does Come with the ethernet adapter...

I Already Have Mine fromt hem & it Does, However I am Having Some issues with it So If Anyone Else Has Got this MB & is Having Issues with the ethernet Please email me....

The MSI K7N420 Pro I have several weeks ago had onboard LAN, and it ran 100% stable.

My friend just bought this board from local comp shop and it did have onboard LAN. Works great by the way!

New manual with corrections? Looks like it still needs work. People, and reviewers have said that K7N420 does not have multiplier adjustment but yet the "new" manual still says that the board does feature multiplier. That is the one thing that is keeping me from getting the K7N420. *Sigh* oh well.

Yeah, I recieved the mainboard on monday and sure enough, there were some confusing errors in the manual that it came with. Thanks for the headsup, I would have plugged the clear cmos jumper in the wrong way had I followed the manual that came with the board. Luckily the newer manual from msi's site corrected that error. There are still some other mistakes, but I haven't gotten my damn DDR RAM yet so I haven't had a chance to use the board.

I just thought I'd mention, MSI released a new BIOS that does support Multiplier adjusment
