The board is 100% stable (for me) and the new nForce drivers are a breeze to install.

That's very good to hear. If Anand's review of this board is positive stability and installation wise, I'll be getting them for the people that need an all in one high performance solution.

Thanks for the info John. :)

<< Thanks John for the info. I'm getting one for my bro's comp who doesn't play games(on the puter at least) so it sounds like the right choice. The easy unified driver is attractive also.

But then I've only allocated one 256MB RAM stick. Do you think that will affect it much?

If you use the onboard GF2 MX and want 18bit performance, you need to use 2 sticks of memory in dimm 1 & 3 AFAIK. With only a single dimm, you will receive 64bit performance. It is not a night and day difference.

Well I'd rather the 64bit performance of a single stick than the 18bit performance of 2 sticks. ;)

<< Hey John, so how come you're selling the board? >>

I wonder why people tend to ask this question?

why, is it a crime to ask?

Why did you buy a 420 if you were going to slap a GF3 in there anyway?

there is NO difference b/w a 420 and a 220 when using external video, only when using the integrated GF2MX. SO save your money and go for a 220 if you dont need the GF2MX

I thought the 220 was also missing the MCP and just went for basic AC'97 sound?

<< this is sorta off topic alittle but does nforce have a socket 370 board? >>

No, a socket 462 version is the only version for now. Socket 370 is going the way of the Dodo, and so is socket 423. The only socket 370 nForce board would be in the Xbox's, but that is of course not a socket, the P3 packaging is proprietry and is soldered straight onto the mobo. But I'd bet a bit on a socket 478 version sometime soon. Dual channel memory is a big hint for this. The only hurdle is Intel of course.
