I've been having problem with my system for a while now. I bought it in last May, and for the first two months everything was running fine. Then out of nowhere, it started crashing. The computer will simply reboot, just as if I'd pressed on the reset switch. Sometimes it will give me a blue screen, usually one that says MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION with this error code 0x000009. This usually happens when I try to play a game or when I run highly demanding applications. Sometimes the game only crash to Windows, but most of the time I get a reboot or a blue screen.
At first, I suspected that Windows was the problem, so I reinstalled it. It didn't solve the problem. Then as I looked up my error code in the microsoft knowledge base, I found out that my problem could be caused by deffective memory. I tried reconfiguring my sticks in every possible way. This seemed to have an effect on the frequency that my computer was crashing, or how long it would last before it crashed, but it would eventually crash in every scenario.
Last weekend, I tested a Kingston Hyper X module in the system and it would still crash. I know there have been issues with Kingston RAM, but I'm not sure if that's the problem. If that is the case, who is at fault, the RAM or the motherboard? Any input will be appreciated...
