I noticed that there are many new BIOS updates in the past month. Ver 3.4 was before and now it is up to 3.7 with updates to the temparture detect, again, as well as some GFX compatability fixes.

Any word on these BIOS updates, are they better, faster, more stable, and is the temp more or less accurate now.

Also, while I don'thave an FX, I have a Radeon and often when I boot or restart, the video would fail to initialize and I had to reset a few times to get it to work. Has this been fixed as well or were these FX only fixes.

Thanks

I updated to the latest 3.7 version and it fixed my video and boot problems. The temparture is strange though, it seems better in BIOS but in windows PCalert gives the same results. Any ideas how the tems are now and what is with PCalert?

Thanks

Get the newest PCAlert4 - it solves the temperature reporting problem in Windows.

Thanks. It works fine now. A little high though. But it may be close.

I was wondring, does your live update work. For some time now with 2 and even version 3 I cannot update anything except for the actual live update software. When I try to check for BIOS or drivers, after I sould connect and see available updates I just see a blank page. I tried uninstaling and reinstalling several time but it still does not work?

Thanks

I haven't tried Live Update lately, I will when I get back home later today...it worked fine a few months ago. The CPU temps are likely to be a little high since the board reports it from the diode on the CPU, rather than on the board. I'm getting 47*C idle (PCAlert4, AXP 2700+) with case temp of 34*C. This is in a room without any AC, in the UK. Are yours close to this?

Well liveupdate v3.37 finds the newer BIOS and driver files that are available. I haven't actually used it to d/l any of the files yet, but I recall I had a similar problem previously so I've been d/ling them from their website.

Same thing happened to me. Before the flash I had and idle temp of 36C and now its 44C. My case temp is at 37C now instead of 32C before the update. Weird.
