MSI K7N2-L

I am going to start buying components for a new computer this weekend and have come up with a list. It will be used for some gaming, movie watching, and homework. Since the A7N8X seems to have some problems and a lot of features I dont' need I am shying away from that one. I am looking at the MSI K7N2-L and MSI K7N2G-L. Is there any difference between these two boards besides the integrated graphics? Also is AC97 audio good for surround sound? I am going to initially going to use my 2.1 setup. Will AC97 work well with this? Any other suggestions and help would be much appreciated. I would like for this computer to last for the next two or three years until I am done college. I do plan on doing some upgrades such as getting a 3000+ once the prices drop on that, and upgrading the video card as needed. For RAM I am not sure what to get. Does Infineon work well in dual channel with this board? Or do I need to get the expensive Kingston HyperX? Here is the rest of the parts I plan on getting:

AMD Athlon XP 2100+
Western Digital 80gig with 8mb cache
Case
Enermax EG365P-VE 350W W/2 Fans
Radeon 9500 PRO 128MB
Lite-On DVD-ROM
Lite-ON CD-RW
Microsoft Internet Keyboard
2 21db Fans
3.5? Floppy

I would go with the K7N2G-L, as it seems the K7N2-L is already in the Archives at the MSI site. It looks like if you want Surroud sound you want to go with the K7N2G-ILSR as it includes the MCP2-T which will encode to 5.1 audio, though I am not sure if the MCP will do this or not. I initially looked at the ILSR model of this board, but decided to wait on the K7N2 Delta-ILSR as I was going to go with a seperate AGP graphics card, but wanted the other features (plus the support for 400MHz FSB Bartons 🙂) As for the RAM, you could check here as they have an extensive thread about RAM that does not work with various MSI boards, including the K7N2G, but not the Deltas, as they have yet to be released.

The (current 333MHz FSB) 3000+ should start coming down (I hope) in May, after the 400MHz FSB Bartons are released, so if you can wait that long, I would. I am, in fact, along with the K7N2 Delta-ILSR. Good luck!
